Blush House Interiors is a boutique, full‑service interior design studio based in Irvine, CA, serving discerning clients throughout Orange County and beyond.
BHI specializes in custom luxury full‑service residential and boutique commercial projects. From new construction and thoughtful remodels to turnkey furnishings, we guide each project from concept to completion with a clear point of view and meticulous sourcing. Our work prioritizes high‑quality, thoughtful, and timeless materials and finishes, lived‑in warmth, and functional clarity—creating layered, story‑led interiors that reflect each client’s life, legacy, and authentic everyday living. Mari is the founder and principal designer behind Blush House Interiors, known for creating timeless, curated interiors that feel both elevated and deeply personal.
Born and raised in Honduras, Mari earned a bachelor’s degree in Marketing before moving to Houston, where she launched a successful career in marketing management. She later relocated to California and, driven by her creative spirit, earned a B.S. in Interior Design from the Interior Designers Institute in Newport Beach.
Mari spent 6+ years working in commercial, hospitality, and multi‑family design firms before founding Blush House Interiors in 2020. Since then she has focused on luxury residential and select commercial projects, applying her editorial eye and attention to detail to each project.
As an Allied Member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) Orange County chapter, Mari served and volunteered on the board for over four years—holding leadership roles including Chair, Professional Development Director, and President‑Elect—demonstrating her commitment to elevating industry standards and giving back to the design community.
At the heart of Blush House is a belief that luxury lies in the details. Each bespoke interior is thoughtfully crafted to reflect a client’s unique story, blending timeless elegance with deeply personal touches. From a young age—shaped by her mother’s effortless beauty, timeless sophistication, and meticulous eye for detail—Mari understood that true design is an act of care. Her mother infused every corner of their home with creativity and intention, teaching her that the smallest details carry the greatest meaning. That philosophy lives on in every Blush House project.
Mari’s approach blends a caring, detail-oriented method with a passion for quality and service—combining styles to create spaces that are sophisticated yet comfortable, modern yet timeless, and often editorial while always unique and personal.
Her inspired style blends a modern take on timeless classics, drawing inspiration from Honduras’s layered Spanish‑colonial architecture and cultural depth, rich textile traditions, patterns, color, and coastal influences—alongside travels through Europe and life on the California coast. Grounded in Latin warmth and an authentic, service‑first approach, her work prioritizes craftsmanship over trends and lets function guide beauty, resulting in refined layering, thoughtfully curated details, and spaces that feel both elevated and deeply personal.
